1933 Jumbo is reformulated and given the name Double-Cola, due to its size. At the time, all major colas in the US were sold in 6.5oz bottles. Double-Cola, on the other hand, was introduced in a 12oz returnable bottle

1934 Double-Dry Ginger Ale and Tonic Water are trademarked​

1922 Charles D. Little, along with partner Joe S. Foster, established Good Grape Company to market their newly developed grape soda

​​​​

1924 Company name changed to Seminole Flavor Company. They developed a new soda called Marvel Cola. As the formula improves, the name is changed/trademarked as Jumbo Cola. In a 7.5 oz. bottle, it is the first beverage to use an Applied Color Label (ACL) â€‹â€‹â€‹â€‹

1962 Diet Way is introduced as the diet cola version of Double-Cola

1962 Charles D. Little sells Double-Cola to Fairmont Foods Company and distribution expands to Canada, Mexico, and several other international markets

​

1964 Diet Way is reintroduced as Diet Double-Cola

1953 The Seminole Flavor Company becomes The Double-Cola Company in honor of it’s celebrated cola

​

1954 The company opens a brand new manufacturing plant and offices just outside of Downtown Chattanooga at the base of Lookout Mountain on Broad Street

​

1956 SKI Citrus Soda is formulated with natural flavors and is named by long-time employee Dot Myers, who was inspired after a weekend Skiing trip on the Chickamauga lake

​

1957 Double-Cola is the first major soft drink to be marketed in a 16oz returnable bottle, referred to as the Super-King Size

1970's Ownership of the company changes hands many times as the distribution and products continue to grow

1980 K.J. International, Inc., a London-based company, purchases the company and it becomes Double Cola Co-USA

1986 Diet SKI is introduced as the first of many line extensions of the original SKI

1996 Cherry SKI, a crisp cherry-flavored citrus soft drink, is introduced as another line extension to the original SKI, thanks to the efforts of loyal fans in Breese, Illinois​

1997 Alnoor Dhanani is appointed President and Chairman of Double Cola Company-USA and remains Chief Executive Officer to this day

​

1999 Corporate headquarters for The Double Cola Company moves to Market Street in downtown Chattanooga

​2011 Double Cola Co-USA changed its name to The Double Cola Company to embrace its heritage

 

​2013 The Double Cola Company launched its Road to Refresh campaign, a summer sampling tour to introduce more people to SKI and Double Cola products

2020's Several limited-edition flavors of SKI are released, such as Blood Orange, Strawberry Lemonade, and Orange Cream

2022 The Double Cola Company celebrated 100 years

​

2024 Due to popular demand, SKI was rebranded to the retro SKI design from the 1970s
