Valentine's Day is just around the corner and we're celebrating with a fun date night in with two of our favorite drinks, SKI Citrus Soda and DOUBLE-COLA. Below is our how to guide for the perfect night! Whether you're celebrating Valentine's Day, Galentine's, or just practicing a little self care with a date by yourself, you're sure to have a fun, yummy filled evening.
No need to make extravagant dinner plans when you can set up the perfect date night at home! Grab a blanket and a few pillows for a comfy, indoor picnic. Roses, food, and gifts are optional- SKI and DOUBLE-COLA required. Read along for a delicious cocktail and dessert to enjoy with your sweetheart.
Cherry SKI Cocktail
For our SKI fans that are 21 and up, we have the perfect cocktail to enjoy this Valentine's Day!
Serving Size: 2 glasses
1 can of Cherry SKI
2oz Cherry Vodka
2oz White Rum
2-4 Maraschino cherries
Add desired amount of ice to glass
Using a shaker, add both liquors and shake to combine
Pour into glass and top with Cherry SKI
Garnish with lemons and cherries
DOUBLE-COLA Chocolate Truffles
No date night is complete without dessert. And what's even sweeter than dessert? Dessert made with DOUBLE-COLA. These DOUBLE-COLA Chocolate Truffles are just the right amount of sweet and delicious and is the ideal way to top off the perfect indoor picnic date night.
INGREDIENTS FOR TRUFFLES:
1 Can of DOUBLE-COLA
1 Cup of Heavy Cream
1/4 Cup of Butter
1/4 Cup Brown Sugar
1 Teaspoon of Vanilla Extract
1/2 Cup Dark Chocolate
FOR TRUFFLE COATING:
1/2 Cup Semi-Sweet Baking Chocolate
1 Tablespoon of Heavy Cream
2 Tablespoons of DOUBLE-COLA
Red and Pink Icing for decorating
In a medium sized heat proof bowl, break the dark chocolate bar into pieces and set aside.
In a medium sized saucepan, bring DOUBLE-COLA and butter to a boil.
Add in heavy cream, brown sugar, and vanilla and stir together until completely mixed.
Remove from heat and pour in chocolate pieces. Using a whisk, mix together.
Cover and place into freezer for 20 minutes or until slightly cooled.
Using a tablespoon, measure out mixture, roll into balls, and place on a parchment lined baking sheet. Let chill in freezer for 20 more minutes.
Meanwhile, break semi-sweet baking chocolate into pieces and place in a double boiler. Using low heat, melt chocolate, stirring constantly. Add a tablespoon of heavy cream and 2 tablespoons of DOUBLE-COLA and mix together. Remove from heat.
Remove truffles from the freezer and individually dip into melted chocolate, covering completely. Drizzle red and pink icing for decorating.
