The Double Cola Company had the honor of participating in several activities during Pink! Week 2020 to promote breast cancer awareness as well as raise funds for the MaryEllen Locher Breast Center located in Chattanooga, TN.
Pink! raises funds each year to ensure top-notch breast cancer detection and treatment capabilities at the Breast Center. Unlike other breast imaging facilities, the MaryEllen Locher Breast Center is all-inclusive: allowing women to go from a screening mammogram to a complete diagnostic work up in just one appointment. The center’s multidisciplinary team includes surgical oncologists, medical oncologists, breast imaging radiologists, reconstructive surgeons, pathologists, and a full clinical staff. A total of 4,900 women have been diagnosed with breast cancer through the center since it’s opening in 2007. Last year alone, more than 30,000 mammograms were provided to patients by the Breast Center regardless of the ability to pay.
Our team showed support for Pink! and the Breast Center by sporting pink outfits in the office, baking pink cookies, treating the staff at the MaryEllen Locher Breast Center to a DOUBLE-COLA and Cherry SKI float bar, and participating in the Pink! Block Party. In addition, Double Cola Company COO, Gina Dhanani serves on the CHI Memorial Hospital Foundation Board, which plans and executes the Pink! Gala each year.
