Each quarter, our sales and marketing team chooses one exceptional salesperson to highlight from all of our distributors across the Southeast. Each of our distributors nominate members of their sales team that have gone above and beyond to promote Double Cola products. Below are details of the winners we have chosen and details of their outstanding execution. Thank you for all you do to provide Double Cola and SKI fans with their favorite sodas!
2020 Salesperson of the Year: Joshua Lung
Joshua Lung, a salesperson and route driver for our Southern Ohio distributor, GEM Beverages, has been chosen as our 2020 salesperson of the year! We asked Josh a few questions to learn more about him and his role at GEM.
What does your day to day consist of on the job?
On a daily basis I drive to the different areas that we distribute in and go travel to different grocery stores, gas stations, and carry outs to deliver Double-Cola and Gem products.
How long have you been at GEM?
I have worked at Gem Beverages since my sophomore year of high school. I have been there a total of 5 years.
What is the best thing about your job?
The best thing about my job is getting to be out and about working with customers and getting to distribute Ski.
How long have you been a SKI fan?
I have always drank Ski ever since I have been little. I don’t remember not drinking Ski.
What is your favorite flavor of SKI?
My favorite flavor is regular Ski. Nothing beats an ice cold Ski.
If you could create any new SKI flavor what would it be?
I would create a blackberry flavored Ski.

Q1 Salesperson of the Quarter 2021: Rodney Elko
Rodney Elko has been chosen as our salesperson of the quarter for the months of January- March, 2021. Rodney has worked with Excel Bottling Company, our southern Illinois distributor located in Breese, for the past 10 years! Rodney continues to grow shelf space, while adding Double Cola packages and brands to shelf sets.
"(Rodney) sold in an incremental end-cap at one of our Kroger stores that he has maintained since week 2 of this year. He has also increased our presence in MotoMarts, and has some great shelf sets in independent supermarkets, including a new location where he was successful in gaining the first position in the beverage department", says Mitch Reed, Sales Director at Excel.
Our team here at the Double Cola Company are impressed with Rodney's hard work! Without salespeople like Rodney, our beloved SKI and DOUBLE-COLA could not get into the hands of our soda drinkers! If you see Rodney on his route, be sure to give him a congrats for a job well done!
